Mo Harawe is a Somali/Austrian writer and director from Mogadishu, currently studying at Kunsthochschule Kassel. His debut feature film, “The Village Next to Paradise,” follows his acclaimed short films, “Life on the Horn,” which received a Special Mention at Locarno, and “Will My Parents Come to See Me,” which won multiple awards, including the Grand Prix at Clermont-Ferrand and Best Short Film at the German LOLA and Austrian Film Awards in 2023
