Himjyoti Talukdar is an independent filmmaker and scriptwriter from Assam who has made significant strides in the Indian film industry. His directorial debut, “Calendar,” released in 2018, garnered widespread acclaim for its heartfelt storytelling and compelling direction. Talukdar also contributed as a co-producer and scriptwriter for the Assamese feature film “Marksheet,” further showcasing his versatility and talent in the cinematic arts. Looking ahead, he has two exciting projects on the horizon: “Taarikh,” set to release in 2024, and a highly anticipated film adaptation of a novel by the esteemed Assamese author Dr. Bhabendra Nath Saikia, expected to hit the screens in 2025.
