We are happy to inform you that we are organizing the KOREAN FILM FESTIVAL 2025 in association with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai at Tagore Film Centre NFDC, Music College Road, Chennai – 600028. We will be presenting 5 feature films as per the schedule below.

The festival will be inaugurated by the Honourable Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Chang-nyun Kim. Mr. Sivan Kannan, President of ICAF will preside over the function and Mr. Anand Rengasamy, Vice President of ICAF will give the welcome address. Ms. Akshatha, Cine Artist will light the lamp.

The story of Jeong Yak-yong’s brother, Jeong Yak-jeon when he was exiled to Heuksando in 1801, and meets an energetic young fisherman. This film resonates deeply with the complicated emotions East Asians still feel about their cultural heritage, particularly Confucianism.

Hak-soo has challenged TV audition program, but never gets into finals. On the day he fails his 7th audition, he receives a call that his dad is in hospital. He rushes home, only to find out his father lied. He heads back to Seoul, but he is suspected as a phishing scam criminal there.

A period action film centered on a militia group who turn against an unjust nobility. The story takes place during late Joseon era and is partially inspired by authentic historic events. In a time of aristocratic tyranny, an illegitimate son strives for power and hires a poor butcher as assassin.

Depicts a battle to gain propitious site for a grave. A movie that hinges on the use of Geomancy to establish future dynasties of the kingdom. Families vying for power in a country would bury and rebury their ancestors to overthrow the geomantic position of ruling families.

A young child is kidnapped on her way home from school. Worried that district police are more concerned with capturing the kidnapper than about rescuing his child, Eun-Joo’s wealthy father uses his influence to have an investigator, Detective Kong Gil-yong put in charge of the case.
