In the village of Pallikondapattu, Kalyanam, a male artist in the Therukoothu troupe, faces ridicule for portraying female roles, especially Draupadi. Despite his mother’s pressure to conform, Kalyanam remains determined to reclaim his father’s troupe. After a series of struggles with Thandavam, who humiliates him, Kalyanam’s extraordinary performance as Kunthi earns respect. Thandavam, filled with regret, dies. Kalyanam fulfills his mother’s wish, performing as Arjunan, astonishing the troupe and gaining the recognition he deserves.

Pari Elavazhagan has played the lead role as a Therukoothu artiste, who plays female roles in plays. Pari, who comes from a long line of Therukoothu artistes in his family, has taken inspiration from a few incidents from his uncle’s life to write this story, this is his debut film into the cinema industry.
