Hossein Rigi, born in 1978 in Baluchestan, Iran, is a pioneering Iranian film director and the first Baluch filmmaker in the history of Iranian cinema. He began his career in 1995, completing filmmaking programs at the Iranian Youth Cinema Society. Over the years, he has created a variety of documentaries, short films, and feature films, many of which have been showcased at both domestic and international film festivals. In 2021, his film Lipar was featured at the 39th Fajr International Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in his career.
