Karuna and Aadhi, childhood friends in Kombai, Theni, share a strong bond despite their differing fortunes. Karuna, a zamin heir living in poverty, and Aadhi, a wealthy lorry owner, manage the Kombai Amman temple. . However, Sokkan, an orphan and loyal to Karuna, becomes the head instead. Tensions rise as greed and betrayal surface, leading to a conflict over the temple’s jewels. Karuna, feeling betrayed by Aadhi, orchestrates his murder with the help of Vairavel and others. Sokkan, loyal to Karuna, initially protects him but later seeks justice. After a series of violent confrontations and revelations about Karuna’s involvement in Sellayee’s death, Sokkan kills Karuna to protect Aadhi’s family.

He is an Indian film director and screenwriter in the Tamil film industry. Starting as an assistant to Vetrimaaran, he made his directorial debut with Ethir Neechal (2013), which earned him the Vijay Award for Best Crew in 2014. His subsequent films include Kaaki Sattai (2015), a police drama, and Kodi (2016), starring Dhanush. In 2020, he directed Pattas, also featuring Dhanush. His upcoming film, Garudan (2024), is highly anticipated.
